At my core, I hold a single question: what could we achieve together that neither of us could achieve alone?
At my core, I hold a single question: what could we achieve together that neither of us could achieve alone?
My name is Charity Wairimu, though most people know me as Nimo. I am the Systems Architect behind Hawi Springs and the visionary behind a larger ecosystem of companies and projects being developed under Hawi Foundations. My background is in software engineering & architecture, but my work today sits at the intersection of urban design, construction, systems thinking, storytelling, technology, sustainability, and human experience.
At the center of everything I do is a belief that the built environment shapes consciousness, behavior, health, opportunity, and culture. I am not interested in creating isolated buildings. I am interested in creating living systems — environments that restore people, reconnect communities, and redefine what modern African development can look and feel like.
If you believe the future of Africa should be shaped by its community, you belong here.
A 5,000- acre regenerative city for 150,000 visionaries in Kenya envisioned as the first community-owned city. The project combines housing, wellness, nature, renewable energy, mobility systems, light industry, hospitality, public space, and technology into one connected ecosystem. The goal is not simply to develop real estate, but to create a model for healthier, more sustainable, and more emotionally enriching ways of living.
Hawi Capital Systems focuses on enabling Africans to collectively design, fund, build, and own the continent’s infrastructure - from housing and mobility systems to energy, utilities, and large-scale urban development. Africa already holds more than $4 trillion in domestic capital that is currently sitting idle in low-productive assets. We are designing the systems required to deploy this capital efficiently into productive, long-term development.
By 2050, over 700 million additional Africans will move into cities. This company is focused on the operating framework for the next generation of African cities that combines: geospatial intelligence, economic systems modeling, infrastructure simulation, digital twins, regenerative planning, and phased implementation systems into one integrated urban intelligence platform. Hawi Springs is the first implementation environment for the framework.
My long-term goal is to help pioneer a new model of African urban development that is regenerative, technologically advanced, emotionally intelligent, environmentally responsible, and deeply human-centered.
I want to prove that cities and large-scale developments in Africa can be world-class without copying existing global models that often prioritize extraction, fragmentation, and short-term profit over human wellbeing. I believe the continent has an opportunity to leapfrog outdated systems and create entirely new development paradigms.
Beyond business, I want my work to inspire a larger movement around how people think about home, community, nature, wellness, and the future of cities. I want people to feel possibility again when they think about the built environment.
Personally, I am also focused on becoming a stronger communicator, leader, operator, and storyteller. I want to build companies and projects that are not only commercially successful, but culturally meaningful and transformational.
If you believe the future of Africa should be shaped by its community, you belong here.
